Whittlesea Ranges have confirmed the additions of a number of new signings headlined by former A-Perth Glory and Goulburn Valley Suns defender Naum Sekulovski.
The 33-year-old moves to Epping Stadium having spent the last two years with the Shepparton-based Suns, where he primarily featured as a centre-back.
A VIS graduate who spent his junior years at a number of southeast based clubs, Sekulovski made his breakthrough in senior football with the Gippsland Falcons in the old NSL before enjoying further stints with across the border with the Wollongong Wolves and Parramatta Power.
He subsequently returned to Victoria in the aftermath of the NSL, where he featured for the Preston Lions before heading west and joining the Perth Glory ahead of the first A-League season.
Sekulovski spent six seasons with the club, amassing 108 league appearances and six goals for the club while also earning cult figure status among their supporters.
A move to Indonesia followed for the left-back, who featured for Persema Malang in the now defunct Indonesian Premier League.
He returned home in 2013 where he plied his trade for Hume City under Lou Acevski, making 12 appearances in the VPL which included a solitary goal.
His signing adds much needed experience for Vinko Buljubasic’s squad who are looking to improve on a 7th place finish in the NPL1 West Standings in 2015.
Joining Sekulovski at the Epping-based outfit is Papua New Guinea international George Slefendorfas, who makes the move down the Calder Highway from Bendigo City.
The 28-year-old striker first moved down to Victoria at the beginning of the decade where he featured for Heidelberg United and Sunshine George Cross respectively, before spending a couple of seasons playing his football in New Zealand’s top flight.
Of Lithuanian descent, Slefendorfas scored 19 goals over two seasons for the regional-based outfit and scored for his new employers in a recent 4-3 friendly win over Dandenong Thunder.
The duo are joined at Epping Stadium by full-back Robert Martin, former Hume City midfielder Liam Newman, Heidelberg United 20s player Jordan Brown, and ex-Fawkner and Springvale White Eagles striker Sanni Dauda, who joins from Altona Magic.
In a further boost for the club formerly known as Thomastown, influential forward Atilla Ofli has returned to the club following recent trials with Western Sydney Wanderers and South Melbourne.
The Ranges begin their 2016 NPL2 campaign with a trip to Galvin Park to take on Werribee City on Sunday February 21.
