Hume City coach Lou Acevski is delighted with how side is progressing after picking up their fifth win on the trot following a 1-0 win away to Melbourne Knights on Sunday afternoon.
Speaking to the Corner Flag after the match, the head coach lauded his players for implementing his game plan and carrying out his instructions to a tee.
“The boys have been fantastic,” he said.
“As long as we keep improving every week, that’s all I can ask for. They’re just proving to everybody else that their heart and their commitment is unbelievable”, he asserted.
Despite Nick Hegarty’s outstanding performance once again, with the winger having netted in their last two fixtures, Acevski emphasised that the current success is forged on a collective, rather than individual effort.
“There’s no individual or one set position, I think the whole eleven or fifteen that are coming on are doing the job, that’s not because of the defence or the attack or the midfielders, it’s just a unit.”
The victory will instil further confidence in the City camp ahead of the top-of-the-table clash against league leaders Northcote at Broadmeadows Valley Park on Sunday afternoon
