Alamein FC have added three attackers to their senior roster for the upcoming NPLW season, headlined by the signing of exciting Young Matildas winger Ash Lefevre.
The 17-year-old had initially agreed terms with Bayside United earlier in the NPLW off-season having come out of the NTC system, but will instead line up as a part of Sinisa Cohadzic’s talented forward set-up in 2017.
The Bayside native spent her formative years learning her trade at Hampton SC and Brighton SC before moving into the FFV’s development program.
Lefevre netted a hat-trick in her first season in the top flight in 2015 and continued her progress in 2016, earning selection for the Young Matildas in the process.
Joining her at Alamein this season is another former NTC product in Janna Lawson, who joins after a two-year stint playing regional football.
The former Kyabram Phoenix player was a former Goulburn North-East League Best and Fairest in 2012 before completing a move into the NTC system.
The talented winger/forward enjoyed a standout 2014 season for the Senior NTC, where she was amongst the nominees for TCF’s Team of the Year.
Lawson returned home to regional Victoria to complete her studies, achieving a 99.50 ATAR as the dux of her school, with football taking a back seat.
She played with local side Cobram Roar in the Albury-Wodonga Football League where she was the league’s Golden Boot winner in 2016.
The final addition to Cohadzic’s senior roster for 2017 is former Box Hill United striker Jasmina Pedic.
Pedic found the back of the net just once for United in 2016, with her playing time mostly restricted to appearances off the bench.
It was a second stint at Wembley Park for the 27-year-old, who was also formerly of Ashburton United.
