New WNPL consortium Bayside United has announced its backroom structure for 2016, with Graham Dudley selected as senior head coach.
Initially named as technical director, Dudley moves into the coaching hot seat while Paul Stewart takes over the role.
Meanwhile, former Sandringham SC coach Shaun Parton is named as Dudley’s assistant.
Elsewhere, former Casey Comets reserves coach Mel Lum was announced as U15s coach, Beaumaris SC coach Steve Stroud for the U18s, and Brighton SC’s John Sugunananthan as U13s coach.
Dudley brings experience from the UK and Australia, including a stint as Director of Football for Beaumaris SC.
“I am very excited for the opportunity to bring my own experiences of the game specific to females within Victoria and internationally,” Dudley said.
“Whilst we are in start up, there is no excuse that we cannot provide a professional environment for the juniors and seniors at Bayside United and local opportunity for the 2015 WPL players of Sandringham Soccer Club and all female talent at Hampton Junior Soccer Club, Bayside Argonauts Football Club, Brighton Soccer Club, Beaumaris Soccer Club and Sandringham Soccer Club.
“Education and support in strength and conditioning, nutrition and sports mentoring are just a few of the additions to on the field development and structure.
“My time at Casey Comets Football Club in WPL plus direct involvement in the WPL Allstars and Director of Football role with Beaumaris Soccer Club has ensured my passion and professionalism for the game and the player management is ready for this opportunity.”
Bayside, a consortium consisting of Bayside Argonauts Football Club, Beaumaris Soccer Club, Brighton Soccer Club, Hampton Junior Soccer Club and Sandringham Soccer Club, was announced as a successful entrant into the 2016 WNPL in September.
The announcement means every WNPL club has now confirmed its head coach for 2016.
