The Newcastle Herald has reported Bentleigh Greens have added exciting attacking midfielder Keanu Moore to their stocks for the 2017 NPL Victoria season.
He moves over from Edgeworth Eagles, where he impressed against the Greens at Kingston Heath in a national NPL finals clash in 2016, a game in which he was a key performer in the Eagles’ 3-1 win to knock Bentleigh out.
A Tamworth FC junior, Moore has been playing in Newcastle for the past four years, starting at Charlestown before moving to Edgeworth.
The talented number 10 trialled with Newcastle Jets on the back of his form for Edgeworth, after helping the club win back-to-back Northern NSW NPL premiership doubles. He has previously trialled with Sydney FC as well.
Two other brushes with the A-League for Moore include FFA Cup clashes against Melbourne City (in 2015) and Western Sydney Wanderers (in 2016).
After keeping in touch with the attacking midfielder, Bentleigh brought him to Victoria where he faced off against Hume City in a trial game, scoring and assisting in a 2-2 draw.
He now joins a Bentleigh front third consisting of the likes of Matt Thurtell, Chris Lucas, Stipo Andrijasevic, Vojo Milojevic, Kieran Dover, Trent Clulow and Tyson Holmes.
