Women’s Premier League trio Liv Ellis, Anisa Guajardo and Melina Ayres look set to make their W-League debuts after being named in Melbourne City’s squad to face Sydney FC.
With the three only today officially announced by the club today, their selection marks a whirlwind 24 hours for the WPL stars.
Boroondara Eagles’ Ellis had a fantastic season as a marauding fullback in a season that saw her win a minor premiership and Cup double.
She moved to the table-toppers mid-season from the Senior NTC program having plied her trade at FC Bulleen Lions in 2014, where she enjoyed a great start to live in Victoria’s top-flight.
