Melbourne Heart international marquee Orlando Engelaar will quit Australian shores at the end of this season, The Corner Flag can exclusively reveal.
The midfielder’s agent revealed to The Corner Flag that the former Dutch international will not be playing with Melbourne Heart next season ahead of the club’s final game of the 2013-14 season.
Engelaar, 34, will return to the Netherlands at the end of the season due to family commitments as he is expecting another child.
Heart’s marquee signing endured a torrid time at the beginning of his Melbourne adventure after breaking his leg during a pre-season hit out.
The former Dutch international was a massive part of Heart’s late season revival, but it appears he will not be around next season with his one-year deal soon to expire.
