The FFA Cup will see a Melbourne Derby for the second consecutive year, with South Melbourne taking on the Knights again at home. Last year the Knights won in a dramatic contest to knock South out and reach the national stage of the Cup. Frankston Pines will have to wait for Port Melbourne and Avondale on May 5th, while lowest ranked Caulfield United Cobras will hope Langwarrin can pull off an upset against Heidelberg United. Kingston City, after already seeing off a number of NPL clubs, will have an easier task on paper, taking on Preston. Most of the non-NPL clubs will have the home games.
