Galaxy United have lured Kariah White from the footballing wilderness, signing the forward for the 2016 season.
It will be her first appearance back in the Victorian top flight since 2013.
White first played for Vic Country in 2008, featuring for state sides from 2008-2012 as vice-captain or captain.
She also represented the EAP and Bundoora United in the Women’s Premier League.
Coached by Mark Torcaso, she forged a formidable wing combination with Stephanie Galea at Hillsview Recreation Reserve.
An agile and quick attacking player, the 21-year-old will now add a goalscoring threat to Vicenzo Ierardo’s forward line that already contains Laura Spiranovic and Whitney Knight.
White is Galaxy United’s fifth confirmed signing, joining Jade Feakes, Sky Jensen, Knight and Spiranovic at the club, though the latter will be in a fight against time to be bit for the beginning of the season after sustaining a serious knee injury while at Melbourne Victory.
The Corner Flag understands fellow highly touted youngster and former North Geelong Warriors player Jadranka Ergec had also been approached by Galaxy to dust off the boots, having last played the sport in 2014.
