Pascoe Vale have brought back Victorian football veteran Marino Gasparis back into the NPL, signing him for the remainder of the 2016 season.
He most recently featured at Altona Magic in State League one.
Gasparis won a Championship with the Bulleen Zebras in 2004 as a teenager, as well as winning the 2007 VPL Championship with Preston Lions, where he was at from 2006 to ‘08.
He was also at Sunshine George Cross in 2005.
Gasparis spent 2009 with Heidelberg after leaving Preston at the mid-way point of the 2008 season.
He then signed for South Melbourne ahead of the 2010 VPL campaign.
At South he made 68 apperances, scoring eight goals.
He moved to Northcote mid-2013 and immediately helped Hercules claim the 2013 Championship, defeating Bentleigh 3-2 in the grand final at AAMI Park, with Gasparis scoring the extra-time winner.
In total Gasparis was at Northcote City for 60 games, netting seven goals.
He joins a Pascoe Vale side struggling to back up last season’s sixth place and semi-final league finish, hovering just above automatic relegation despite a galvanising 1-0 win over South Melbourne last week despite going down to 10 men.
A 3-1 defeat against Melbourne Knights this week was compounded by red cards to Carl Recchia and Luca Santilli.
