TCF understands Bulleen Lions forward Sami Nour has signed with Green Gully and is eligible for a debut in tonight’s FFA Cup Quarter-Final match against Canberra Olympic.
Nour is set to replace Japanese import Yohei Iwasaki in the official match-day squad, who misses the tie through long-term injury.
The exemption was made with consideration taken for the long-term injury to winger Matthew Breeze with Nour possessing a similar creative prowess in the final third.
The 24-year-old finished the 2016 season as the top scorer at the Veneto Club with seven goals, netting a total of 15 goals from 32 league games after joining the club mid-season in 2015 from Whittlesea Ranges.
Nour has a penchant for the spectacular, scoring a string of wonderful long-range efforts, including contenders for goal of the season against Pascoe Vale and Heidelberg United.

It helped the fleet-footed forward to TCF’s Player of the Month award for March as Bulleen avoided relegation with an 11th placed finish in the league.
Nour made nine appearances for Sunshine George Cross in the first iteration of the NPL1 in 2014 before signing with the Ranges in 2015, netting nine goals that campaign in the West conference.
He did not feature for Bulleen in their FFA Cup campaign, which spanned four games and included a Quarter-Final match up against Gully in it’s qualification stages, which saw the latter seal a 1-0 win courtesy of a second-half Roddy Vargas effort.
