Hume City have confirmed the signing of two former players from Western Australian club Bayswater City, with Danny Dixon and Declan Hargreaves joining Broadmeadows Valley Park mid-season.
Dixon moves to the other side of the city after switching from Bentleigh Greens, where he made 11 appearances and scored a goal.
The 21-year-old has experience at the Carlisle United academy side in England, before joining Bayswater and winning a Western Australian NPL title in 2015.
“Danny is an exciting winger who will give us another avenue in attack as well as adding further depth to our squad,” coach Lou Acevski said via press release.
His move follows the Greens’ signing of Kieran Dover from Melbourne Victory
Joining Dixon at ABD Stadium is Declan Hargraves.
The central midfielder makes the move to Hume from Athena Floreat in the PS4 NPL WA.
The 21-year-old made his way from Liverpool at the age of 11.
His footballing journey has so far taken him from ECU Joondalup, the Western Australian NTC, Perth Glory Youth and Bayswater City.
Hume City head coach Lou Acevski said he is looking forward to the energy Hargreaves will provide to the Hume City midfield.
“Declan is a defensive midfielder who can also play as a box to box midfielder and has a tireless work ethic”, Acevski said.
Dixon and Hargreaves join former Goulburn Valley Suns striker Craig Carley as Hume’s mid-season signings, with Ivan Pavlak departing earlier in the season, while the status of fellow attacker Kofi Danning is still unknown.
