Moreland Zebras have signed Slovenian midfielder Nejc Kolman from Heidelberg United, in preparation for the 2016 NPL 2 season.
It’s a welcome boost to the promotion chances of the Northern based side, who only narrowly missed out on promotion to the top flight in 2015.
The former youth international played 21 league games and scored one goal for Heidelberg this season as the Bergers embarked on a Quarter-Final run in both the NPL and FFA Cup.
The 26-year-old arrived at Olympic Village after last plying his trade in Tolmin in the Slovenian League.
He had earlier trialled at South Melbourne, where brother Sasa coaches the U20’s side.

Under Danny Gnjidic, Moreland finished second behind Bulleen Lions in the NPL 1 West before losing to Melbourne Victory in the second-placed playoff, who then went on to defeat North Geelong Warriors in promotion clash.
Kolman will add experience to the Moreland midfield as the club tries to go one step better in 2016.
