Bayside United have locked in another young star from Sandringham SC, signing 17-year-old fullback Emily Morris-Krause for the 2016 NPLW Victoria season.
The talented left-back made her WPL debut in 2013 in Sandringham SC’s League and Cup double winning season, before making a handful of appearances in the back end of 2014, where injuries to first-team defenders offered the youngster an extended run in the team.
She won the Best and Fairest award for the Reserves that year, before finding herself in the starting line-up for the first game of the 2015 season.
Morris-Krause featured in the large majority of fixtures – save for a short spell out with injury – where she established a name for herself as a player to watch for the future.
The youngster displayed a cool head in defence and went toe-to-toe with some of the league’s elite wingers, matching them for the large part.
She becomes the fourth player to officially sign from Sandringham SC and the 10th member of the Bayside Squad for 2016.
She follows Aimee Benton, former Sandringham junior and senior, to be recently announced as joining the club.
Her seven-year Women’s Premier League stint also saw her feature for South Melbourne, Box Hill and Casey.
She scored at AAMI Park for Box Hill in a Grand Final win over Heidelberg in 2010.
Benton makes the return to top flight Victorian football with Bayside in 2016.
