Football Federation Victoria have unveiled the successful National Premier League Victoria applicants, with a few surprises making the 30-strong list.
Every Victorian Premier League club in 2013 (with the exception of Southern Stars) were granted a licence for the new competition, while most State League 1 sides also received licences.
Surf Coast FC, who played in State 4 last season have been granted a licence, while State 2 clubs Avondale Heights, Brunswick City, Dandenong City, Kingston City, Springvale White Eagles and Whittlesea Ranges also obtained licences.
There will also be a regional flavour added to the competition, with Ballarat Red Devils, Bendigo, Goulburn Valley and North Geelong, as well as Surf Coast all being accepted in to the NPL.
The structure of the competition will be revealed next week, while the fixtures are expected to be released on 26 February.
Eastern Jets and Border FC were also granted an NPL licence, but they will only join the league in 2015.
