The National Youth League commences this weekend in its revamped format.
Neither of the Melbourne teams feature at home this week, as Victory travels to South Australia to face Adelaide United at the Elite Systems Football Centre, while City have the first of its two byes this season.
As announced in September, two conferences of five teams each will play out a 10 round season before the top side of each conference plays off in a Grand Final.

Victory and City are in Conference A, where they will have to travel to Adelaide, Perth and Brisbane, while the teams in Conference B don’t travel beyond New South Wales or Canberra.
The introduction of many A-League youth sides into the NPL renders the NYL almost obsolete, though the competition will also cater for senior players needing game time and youth players staking a claim for a first team spot.
The two Melbourne Derbies will be on Sunday 29 November at Lakeside Stadium, and Sunday 20 December at CB Smith Reserve.
All of Victory’s home games will be at Lakeside, while City are based at CB Smith in Fawkner.
Melbourne Victory has already announced its squad, which includes the following 15 contracted players (and an additional 19 train-ons): Jordan BROWN, Christian CAVALLO, Wyatt CHANT, Thomas DENG, Lucas DERRICK, Kieran DOVER, Anthony DUZEL, Callum GOULDING, Joseph KATEBIAN, John MACLEAN, Damien MISKULIN, Stefan NIGRO, Dion PAOLA, Lucas SPINELLA, Pierce WARING
Melbourne City are yet to announce their squad.
