Young defender Stephanie Parton has signed on with Bayside United for the 2016 NPLW Victoria season.
The 17-year-old has experience at the top level that belies her tender years, appearing on the bench as a 13-year-old for former club Sandringham SC, before playing with the senior squad in their league and cup double winning 2013 season.
Coached in the past by father Shaun Parton and playing alongside sister Christie Parton, Stephanie and her family have had a long running association with Sandringham and the Bayside area, having begun her junior career with Ashburton at age nine.
She became a regular fixture in the Sandringham defence in the 2014 and 2015 season, making 38 league appearances across the defence, winning both the Coaches and Players’ Player of the Year award in 2015.
Parton is the ninth confirmed signing for Bayside so far, joining close friend Emma Robers, Emily Harbis, Bronte James, Marianna Anthony and Erin Hudson in a youthful looking United side.
