Port Melbourne have added left fullback Jordon Lampard to their squad for the 2017 season.
The Lismore product had been a Brisbane Roar youth before departing the A-League side.
He has also Young Socceroos experience – playing U20s as a 17-year-old – in squad that took on Qatar in New Zealand in 2015.
Lampard had previously signed with Hume City for the 2016 season but left prior to the season’s start, instead spending the year at Gold Coast City in Queensland’s NPL.
The 19-year-old now moves back to Victoria for another crack at the NPL in the state and will become another young talent from Queensland to make the switch south.
Often a problem position to fill in the NPL, Lampard will look to make the left fullback position his own in 2017 at JL Murphy Reserve.
He becomes another addition to new coach Dom Barba’s revolution at Port Melbourne, joining Christopher Cristaldo (Melbourne City), Brendan White (Redlands United), Jason Shade (Brisbane Strikers), Kobbie Boahene (Box Hill United), Takanori Nishimoto (Bulleen Lions), Michael McGowan (Redlands United), Philippe Bernabo-Madrid (Canberra Olympic) and John Maclean (Bentleigh Greens) as new signings for 2017.
