Melbourne Victory have announced the departure of midfielder Jimmy Jeggo, ending a five year association with the team.
The 22-year-old was in the last year of his contract with the A-League club, and has decided to move on from AAMI Park.
Jeggo made 30 A-League appearances for Victory since joining the club at the beginning of the 2010/11 season on a National Youth League contract, making his senior debut in November, 2011.
In a press release this morning, the club thanked Jeggo for his services to the team, also adding that he had decided to pursue other opportunities.
“Jimmy has been a pleasure to work with during his time with Melbourne Victory and was an important part of our recent A-League and Asian Champions League campaigns,” head coach Kevin Muscat said.
“He is a great guy to have around the place and was very popular in the changeroom, so we certainly wish him all the very best for the future.”
The central midfielder has been strongly linked with A-League outfit Adelaide United, but there has yet to be official confirmation from either party at time of press.
