Football Federation Victoria have released fixtures for the 2015 NPL and NPL 1 campaigns.
The seven month long campaign – consisting of 650 games – will commence in late February and conclude on September 13, with a blockbuster ANZAC Day clash on the bill.
South Melbourne and Oakleigh Cannons will officially open the season on Thursday, February 19th in what promises to be a fantastic spectacle.
Unlike last year – should both again finish first and second – a finals series will decide the champion, replacing the previous season’s first past the post system.
34 teams will play at 31 venues. Neither A-League Youth League side will have have a ‘home’ ground, playing away each week, while Pascoe Vale and Moreland Zebras sharing the new facilities at CB Smith Reserve in Faulkner, replacing Hosken Reserve and De Chene Reserve respectively.
The NPL finals, consisting of six teams playing off two qualifying finals and two semi finals and a Grand Final, will commence on August 28-30.
