Former South Melbourne midfielder Dane Milovanovic is gunning for more silverware in Hong Kong after joining Pegasus FC for the 2015-16 season.

Milovanovic penned a deal in September following the conclusion of South’s premiership-winning NPL Victoria season.

His new club sits second on the Hong Kong Premier League table after four games.

Milovanovic made his first appearance on the Pegasus teamsheet in a 1-1 draw against Yuen Long this week, though he did not come off the bench as he returns to full match fitness after suffering a serious knee injury mid-season with South Melbourne.

His NPL campaign was cut short after 12 appearances in his side’s 2-0 defeat to Oakleigh Cannons in Round 14, and while he recovered in time for the end of the season, did not feature in the club’s Grand Final defeat against Bentleigh Greens.

This is the 25-year-old’s second stint in Hong Kong after winning the Senior Shield Cup with Sun Hei in 2012, scoring in the 1-1 draw as his side went on to win on penalties.

The well travelled AIS graduate has also featured for New Radiant in the Maldives in 2014 and
Indonesian club Persipasi Bandung Raya in 2012-13.

The former Adelaide United National Youth League player of the season has also represented Ballarat Red Devils, Bentleigh Greens and Oakleigh Cannons in Victoria, along with Adelaide Cobras in South Australia after his release from A-League club Brisbane Roar in 2011.

Milovanovic joins fellow Canberran Andrew Barisic in Hong Kong, with the former Melbourne Knights striker turning out for current table-toppers Eastern Sports Club, scoring two goals in four league games and a brace in the quarter-final of the Senior Shield.
