The Association of Football Coaches and Trainers (AFCAT) is encouraging local coaches and other members of the footballing fraternity to attend its workshop on Monday, 25th May.
The coaching association’s workshop will commence at 6.45pm in the Gondola Room at the Veneto Club in Bulleen, prior to the 8.30pm NPL 1 fixture between Bulleen Lions and Melbourne Victory at 8.30.
On the agenda are two Skype calls with European coaches.
Enrico Salgarollo from Chievo Verona in Italy and Paul Voois from FC Utrecht in Holland – both keen to establish and maintain coaching relationships in Australia – will talk about their respective academies, clubs’ youth development philosophies, and coaching methodologies.
A member of Melbourne Victory’s Championship winning senior coaching staff may also be in attendance to discuss the club’s successful 2014/15 season.
Attendance is $10 to guests, while members are admitted for free and have the opportunity to purchase the first line of AFCAT polo shorts, available for $40.
Guests are invited to stay for the NPL 1 game following the commencement of the workshop.
