Alex Caniglia (Green Gully)
Even ignoring Caniglia’s exploits against Port Melbourne – where he grabbed a goal and an assist – due to the game being in the month of March, the explosive winger has enjoyed a strong start to life with the Keilor Downs based outfit. Caniglia led the league in goals heading into this round of action with three, scoring the winner against Bulleen Lions and also having a double credited to him in a 3-3 draw with Kingston City – one goal certainly at least was undisputed – to make a big impact up front for Arthur Papas and now Brian Vanega.
Josh Bragg (Dandenong Thunder)
Technically gifted, the 25-year-old made an immediate impact to life at Thunder by grabbing an assist on debut and has impressed in the weeks since. Unlucky not to score against Springvale, the Englishman has also combined well with Brandon Barnes since joining, with the two Visa players looking the goods again in 2017.
