The Whittlesea Ranges have added four new players to their 2017 NPL 2 squad with the signings of Ross Frame, Phil Petrovski, Adam Centofanti and Christopher Talajic (pictured in order).
Petrovski joins the Whittlesea Ranges from Northcote City FC after the departure of Luke Gallo. He made 21 league appearances in Northcote’s 2016 NPL campaign.
The 21-year-old made his senior debut at the age of 17 at the Moreland Zebras, and has also had stints at Heidelberg, winning the State League 1 title with the Bergers.
The custodian has also won the 2012/13 NYL season with Melbourne Victory.
Welshman Ross Frame takes up the last available visa position alongside Brazilian Janiel Silva at the Ranges after the departures of Kevin Martin and Tabias Haegele.
He signs from Dandenong City after he joined in the mid-season transfer window from the Oakleigh Cannons. He netted a total of four goals in 14 appearances for City.
22-year-old Talajic, who played 53 games and scored seven goals for the Knights since making his debut in 2012, has shown plenty of promise but was plagued by shoulder injuries, undergoing a shoulder operation last season.
He has made his unofficial Whittlesea debut against Goulburn Valley Suns, netting two goals in a 3-2 pre-season victory.
Centofanti is a defender who took a one-year hiatus from the outfield game in 2016 to focus on his futsal career with the Vic Vipers.
He has previous VPL experience with Hume and spent three seasons at the Moreland Zebras between 2013-15, where he made over 50 league appearances under Danny Gnjidic in the second tier.
The four new players join Matt Conversano, Jason Scerri and Janiel Silva as new players at Epping Stadium for 2017.
