Sandringham SC overcame South Melbourne WFC 1-0 in a close encounter to life the Women’s State Knockout Cup. Eliza Gleadell scored the only goal of the game in the 34th minute, slotting low past the goalkeeper as Sandringham banished their Grand Final hurt from two years ago.
